Arterra is a community platform connecting artists, makers, local retailers, arts organizations, and entertainment venues in Tucson, Arizona. Arterra is operated by Golden Canyon LLC, a limited liability company based in Tucson, Arizona, USA ("we," "us," or "our").

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Arterra platform, including our website and any associated services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Arterra, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as information generated through your use of the Service.

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers.

Profile data: Depending on your portal type, this may include your display name or business name, a profile photo or logo, a biography or description, your primary creative medium or business category, and your location (city or neighborhood).

Location information: We collect the city, neighborhood, or street address you provide in your profile. We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit consent.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, search queries, and interactions with other members' profiles. This data is used to improve the platform and may be collected via cookies or similar technologies.

Communications: If you send messages to other members through Arterra, we store the content of those messages to deliver them and to investigate disputes or violations of our terms.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Arterra platform
• Create and manage your account and portal
• Display your profile to other Arterra members on the community map and in search results
• Facilitate direct messages between members
• Match you with relevant opportunities, open calls, collaborations, and community events

• Respond to your questions and support requests
• Monitor for and enforce compliance with our Terms of Service
• Analyze usage patterns to understand how the Service is used and where we can improve it

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Information You Share Publicly

Certain information you add to your Arterra profile is visible to other members of the platform by design. This includes your display name or business name, profile photo or logo, bio or description, city or neighborhood, creative medium or business category, and any opportunities or open calls you post.

Your street address, if provided, is used to place you on the community map. Address visibility to other members is limited to neighborhood or district level by default; the full address is only shown when you explicitly choose to display it on your public profile.

Please be thoughtful about the information you include in public-facing fields. You can edit or remove this information at any time from your profile settings.

Third-Party Services

Arterra integrates with third-party services to provide certain features. These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them.

• Google Maps: We use the Google Maps API to display the community map and show member locations. Google may collect usage data related to map interactions. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, Google authenticates you and shares your name and email address with us. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Apple, Apple authenticates you and may share your name and email address with us. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Instagram API (planned): A future feature will allow you to connect your Instagram account to display your portfolio on Arterra. If and when this is introduced, we will update this policy and obtain your explicit consent before accessing any Instagram data.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.

Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored on servers located in the United States. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

These measures include encryption of passwords, use of HTTPS for data transmission, and access controls that limit who within Golden Canyon LLC can access your information.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information, and you use the Service at your own risk.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Your Rights below).

Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You may update or correct inaccurate information through your profile settings, or by contacting us.
• Deletion: You may request that we delete your account and associated personal data. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information.
